Prepare Your Home for Fall: Five Ways to Redecorate the Exterior
Finding the perfect look for autumn can be challenging. It is particularly important for the exterior. You need to be a bit more creative if you don’t have as many flowers or plants in bloom. You should consider these five ideas for redecorating.
Prepare for Rainy Days
It can be a beautiful sight to look out of your window during a rainstorm. The appeal of a downspout is somewhat diminished when it’s boring. Consider adding some copper rain chains to your home. They are not only practical for guiding water away from the house so that it does not back up your gutters or leak into the foundation, but they look fantastic. Instead of having the water drain through an old, rusted piece of aluminum, you can watch it dance down the chain.
Get Spooky
You can go in the fall if you have some large trees in front of your house. You can get some imitation silk at your local hardware store. Stretch it from limb to limb on any trees which have lost their leaves. This gives a fun and spooky look to spider webs. You’ve already completed half of the Halloween decor!
Get the most out of your yard.
You can still make the yard look beautiful, even if you don’t have the same bright green grass you had in the summer. Create a display by stacking pumpkins in rows. You can either draw faces on the pumpkins or keep them simple and natural. You now have a focal point that will distract from the brown and dead grass.
Candlelit Walkway
You can use a few pumpkins to line your driveway and front door. You can then carve the pumpkins’ centers. Light candles in the pumpkins at night to add a glowing effect to your autumn decorations.
Homemade Wreaths
Take a few leaves from your trees. With your family, you can piece them together using needles and string. Combine them into a wreath shape. You can make as many wreaths as you like and place them at the front door and on other doors.
